The end of 2016 also saw the end of a successful 5-year-long pilot project: the use of ELOG SYSTEM® for final assembly at the AUDI plant in Ingolstadt. The project used ELOG SYSTEM® 3.0. This version includes multipurpose containers, several Q-Frame 2 units for forklift-free internal traffic, and a control system specifically designed for the customer’s needs – the Kanban ordering system used at AUDI was also being used to order individual disposal processes. The project, carried out by BÜCHL Entsorgungswirtschaft, clearly demonstrated the logistical and economic impact that can be achieved with ELOG SYSTEM®. Now the production plant and ELOGplan can both draw on extensive practical experience and data.
